John Jackson says it up top: some might not consider him an unbiased source for this answer, as he IS a real estate mentor. And that's fair!
That said, the reason he does it is because he believes in it. John encourages you to ask yourself another question first: Why are you even asking?
Let's be real: it's because you are DOUBTING something. Is it the worthiness of the financial investment? Do you doubt the processes or systems of the mentors you have researched? …Do you doubt YOURSELF?
Whatever the case may be, the answer to the first question is YES. Think about it this way: If you want to learn how to fly a plane, do you just read books about flying planes? HECK NO! You learn from people who have done it, and ideally are STILL doing it.
John recommends that instead of asking “should I get a mentor?” you should be asking “WHO should I choose to be my mentor?” Do your due diligence to find your match. Read testimonials and case studies from prospective coaches, attend their free classes and listen to their podcasts. You'll eventually catch a vibe that eliminates your doubt.
