Hi, this is Frank Chen with REIClub.com, the only site you need as a real estate investor. Today I've got a quick video on some of the more popular real estate websites and tools you can use for your real estate business.
I'll provide you with the web address, and a short description of what it does.
Note: In no way are we endorsing these websites or getting paid to mention them, we are just hoping they help simplify your real estate business.
1. WordPress.com – Great for starting a real estate blog, creating basic landing pages, compatible with other real estate online software platforms.
2. Gotomeeting.com – Hosting webinars, meeting, etc… (better for small businesses, with employees because of the monthly cost.)
3. Roboform – Password Keychain – saves your passwords, auto-fills. very secure and easy to use.
4. Aweber – Email service – integrates with Facebook and Twitter, create email lists, store email leads, segment them into buyers, sellers, etc…
5. Zillow.com – free MLS substitute if you don't have access to the real MLS, they use averages, good for window shopping and market research
6. Redfin.com – Free – Similar to zillow, but more focused around local Real Estate Agents. Listings tend to be more accurate because most realtors pay to be on the site.
7. Craigslist.org – Free – Learn how to effectively use the “Search” and “Find Keyword” feature when using this tool. It is a Free service that every investor/builder/anyone in real estate uses
8. Google Docs and Calendar (now called Drive) – Free when you create a gmail account. If you like to be organized, you can create calendars and share them with your employees
9. Docusign – Free 14-day trial, $10-20 per month, sign any and all documents online as long as they are online, closing contracts, agent agreements, employee contracts, Doc, PDF, etc… Super easy to use, I use it. It even has a really cool online app so you can sign documents on the go through your phone.
10. Asana.com – Great free tool for Task Management, Create tasks, set deadlines, get automatic reminders sent your email daily, create users, assign tasks to specifc users emails. Great for delegating tasks.
There are plenty of FREE real estate tools out on the web, and if you know how to use them correctly, they are more than enough to get you by, but if you are a more experience investor, and require a bit more functionality with your services, then the above paid services should fit your needs.
All you need do when you're deciding whether or not you need to pay for a service, is ask yourself, will I actually use all the extra paid services, and will it pay for itself?
